This coffee is produced by a selection of smallholder farmers based across the region of Rugembe, in Burundi. It has been collected and processed by our Burundi partners Migoti Hill Washing Station.
Farmers of the Rugembe region typically cultivate an average of 30 coffee trees per farm and they range in altitude between 1700 and 1800 meters above sea level.

This is one of the best lots we have on offer from the Migoti team. An exciting unique assortment flavours beautifully balanced and delightfully finished. It’s not the highest scoring coffee we have on offer but it’s easily my favourite. This coffee would surely make an exceptional single-origin espresso, the roaster who it lucky enough to secure this lot is going to be the envy of many others.
The work that the Migoti team have achieved in coordinating and supporting the Rugembe farming community for this coffee is something that we are truly proud to support from the UK.
Tender flavour notes of lime citrus lead a balance of crab apple flavourings that leave a bittersweet flavour. This is complimented by a sweet velvety black tea aroma and taste that is beautifully finished by a luxurious chocolate aftertaste that is sure to win over any drinker.
