About Rwandan Coffee

Rwanda has five distinct producing regions. In the north-west, the volcanic region of Virunga (home to the Silverback mountain gorillas). To the west, the Kivu region lies alongside Lake Kivu. Toward the centre, we come to the Kizi Rift region. Further south lies Akagera, known for its relatively low altitude (1,300 m.a.s.l.). Finally, there’s the Muhazi region toward the east.

Working directly with Rwandan Owned Washing Stations

We have partnered a number of Washing Stations in Rwanda that are exclusively owned by native farmers.

We believe it is essential to deliver profits back into the communities who are responsible for farming the coffee. The best way to do this is ensuring that decision-makers and owners are of the communities they serve.

All coffees we offer from Rwanda are exclusively from Stations where the ownership is Rwandan.

Meaningful relationships with farmers

John Paul.png

Owned by a fourth generation farmer. Jean Paul has passionately nurtured a plantation consisting of over two-thousand trees and perfected the art of production for his region. Since taking over, Jean Paul has built a cupping lab in the pursuit of achieving exceptional coffee. The farmers he works alongside have farms ranging from 1550 - 1900 meters above sea level.
