Uganda

Uganda is a country in east-central Africa, with a population of about 46 million. It is home to breathtaking sites such as the Rwenzori Mountains, the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Uganda has a rich culture woven together by a variety of ethnic groups, the largest being defined as Bantu speakers.
The soil there is fertile, which, alongside the elevated plateau terrain and steady climate, combines to make an excellent environment for farming coffee.

Itinerary

Day 1

Guests will meet at a local hotel in Entebbe (which Omwani will book).
Dinner will be at a local restaurant while everybody arrives.

Day 2

A day long journey to the Rwenzoris which involves an 8 hour drive with chances to stop for food and sightseeing (guests will not be asked to drive).
Regroup at dinner, then get some rest in near by accommodation that we will be staying in for the rest of the trip.

Day 3

Spend a day at the Agri Evolve washing station, getting a guided insight into how coffee is processed. Meals will be organised throughout the day; nobody goes hungry!

Day 4  & 5

A couple days learning about the very start of the coffee supply chain, touring the farms that Agri Evolve work with and being introduced to the farmers that run them.

Day 6

Final day will involve a relaxing trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park to take in the true beauty of Uganda. Transport back to Entebbe International Airport will be organised by Omwani in advance.

Although 6 days are coordinated by Omwani, guests are invited to extend their trip to make the most of Uganda.
